Don’t follow your dreams; Chase them!
Sierra and I are two years apart. We were the two little girls who fought over EVERYTHING! (Sorry for that mom). We did everything together, including getting into trouble. I am happy to say that we grew out of that as we matured.
One of my favorite memories is when we would spend countless hours of sitting in what seemed to be at the time a huge back yard. We would grab a big beach umbrella and one of those old school straw beach mats. Oh and a big bag of Cheetos. Sierra would always have a sun hat on if I remember correctly. We would just sit there and pretend we were at the beach. Another odd thing we would do at that same house is, we would grab two butter knives and climb up into the lychee tree. We would spend hours sitting on the branches and saw at the tree. What were we trying to do exactly? I have no idea. I used to enjoy eating lychee straight off the tree.
Every important moment I have had in my life this far, and all of the beautiful memories I hold dear to my heart, my sister has always been there. She is my best friend. My partner in crime. There have been times where we were sort of absent in each other’s lives, but somehow found our way back and picked up where we left off.
Although we are very different in so many ways, we found ourselves side by side on similar paths. She has been talking about doing a YouTube channels for gosh…..a while now. She finally did it. Although it may seem different from what I am doing, believe me, its pretty similar. We are both learning how important networking is. How to tell our stories yet staying true to ourselves and original. Not to mention the learning curve. All those awesome videos you see on YouTube have you ever thought about all the work that goes into that? I never realized how difficult it was until I helped her with her first video.
I am very proud of my little sister for taking the path to her dreams. Taking that chance and going all in. Not to mention she already has a full-time job watching her 2-year-old son. Even more so I give her props for being able to find the time to film, edit, and post a video. The YouTube link under the follow & subscribe directs you to her channel. Go ahead and subscribe. She has an eye for interior design, clothing, shopping on a budget and make-up. Plus a “spunky” attitude. It’s hard not to love her, one of the reasons I am proud to call her my sister.
