Anna Griffin Minc Foil Machine review
I am so excited to finally try out this minc machine. For the past year and a half, I have wanted to own one of these. I had some Amazon points added up to redeem for cash so I went ahead and purchased the Anna Griffin minc. At first, I had my eye on the Heidi minc when I first heard about it but I didn’t care for the size and decided to wait. Apparently, This particular minc was made for us greeting card makers. So with a little research, i purchased the minc with the full starter package.
I received 3 different size folders, 130 embellishments, 4 sheets of glitter foil (red, silver,2 gold), 50 sheets of foil (light pink rose, light mint green, silver, gold and rose gold), and 6 toner sheets.
I foiled two embellishments that were in the package I received. I foiled a butterfly and a background image. I foiled the butterfly first, I noticed that overall the coverage is good but there are some spots that didn’t catch well. I read that sometimes if you run it through twice it fixes the problem. So with the second image, I ran it through twice. I didn’t notice a difference.
One thing I was looking forward to was printing my own images to foil instead of buying pre-made embellishments or toner paper. Well, I did some research and apparently, you need a laser printer in order to do that. Getting a laser printer will definitely be my next investment.
Maybe my hubby can get me a laser printer for Christmas?:)
I know foiling has been around for a long while now but it’s still beautiful to look at isn’t it? I will be trying some other techniques others have come up with to foil with or without the minc machine or a laser printer.
I will be making some foiled greeting cards to be posted in my Etsy shop soon. Along with some beautiful unforgettable crochet scarves.
I did a brave thing and made a youtube video of my unboxing and a short review of the minc. If you are interested in watching I will leave a link to my channel below. If you are interested in the machine and foil I used links are down below =)
Have a beautiful day!!
