Kahea Designs and Lula-Roe REVIEW
First off I want to thank Kahea Designs. I was over the moon when I saw my name pop up on her Instagram as the big giveaway winner. The giveaway included a customized blackboard, 2 stemless wine glasses, and a customized canvas. I have had a new addiction to enter into Instagram giveaways so of course, I entered hers after being tagged by a close friend of mine. After browsing through her Instagram I realized she too is from the big island and self- employed. Every day she does what she loves to do and turned that into a career along with being a full-time mommy.
I am a sucker for cute packaging. I’m sure I am not the only one. Right away I noticed her cute stickers with her brand name on it securing the tissue paper. I love that idea.
She wrapped a box in brown shipping paper and wrote on the box with her beautiful handwriting. The first thing I saw was a handwritten note congratulating me on winning and some instructions on how to care for my items. I loved that extra personal touch. Glasses were packaged professionally and secure with cute pink confetti for extra protection that also gave it a little more pizzaz. The embossed gold writing on the glasses look nicely done and from the looks of it isn’t going anywhere with handwashing.
The chalkboard was at the bottom of the box wrapped in tissue paper. I love the size and the fact that there is twine already attached ready to be hung on the wall. The writing is permanent, I loved the texture it has as I ran my hand across the writing which I requested the quote of “Follow your dreams”.
Lastly, the canvas was in a different package. Again packaged securely with those cute little stickers and tissue paper. The canvas I requested gold embossed writing in the quote ” Expect a Miracle”. There isn’t a way of hanging it but I think this would look nice in a frame.
Thank you again Kahea Designs for your beautiful work! I will leave a link below, She does a bunch of different calligraphy items straight from the heart of Hawaii.
Next up is Marysa with Lula-Roe. Okay, so this company strives on comfort. I have seen sellers in Hawaii over the years and they just became more and more popular. I would always see Instagram photos of my friends and family rocking their leggings. I never really looked into purchasing any clothing products until recently. I was browsing my phone in the wee hours and decided to watch Marysa’s live stream. I fell in love with a few of the prints and decided to purchase and give them a try.
I thought well I am getting surgery soon and these are supposed to be super comfortable, plus I wanted to see what all the fuss was about. Shipping was super quick and the packaging was adorable. I love the Lula-roe brand image. The leggings are super soft to touch and once I put them on to try I didn’t take them off. Okay so now I am a big fan. I noticed after a few hours of wearing them they hold in heat so I did get a little hot and had to take them off. Honestly, though these will be perfect for the fall/winter months.
They are so comfortable it seriously feels like I am wearing pajamas. Those of you who know me personally know that I LOVE pajama pants. One reason why I loved working at the hospital and getting to wear scrubs lol. I bought two sizes one that fits me now and one a little smaller for when I start to lose weight. I had my eye on another print even smaller than the ones I purchased but that got snagged right away I was a little sad haha.
I will be on the hunt for a smaller size that I will be able to wear this winter I am super excited for that!. Another thing I bugged her about was the Sarah cardigan. She was wearing it in her live stream and showed that it can be worn a couple of different ways one of which makes it look like you have a shorter cardigan on with a scarf. Ahh, I wanted that so bad in black. Of course, black is hard to get your hands on.
Lula-Roe has a website you can browse their items but in order to purchase you need to find a fashion retailer. I encourage you to check out Marysa on her facebook. She is down to earth and straightforward. Plus she never sleeps and is always online lol. I will leave a link to her page below if you are interested.
It makes me proud to see others who live in Hawaii going after their dreams and making something of themselves.
Thank you, both for your hard work!!.
